Add a fire to your Model Train Layout, to your Fireman or Police Diorama, or to your Dollhouse Fireplace or patio.

The Fire Kit is a combination of 3 LEDs: a Flashing Red, a Flashing Yellow and a Solid Orange. The secret to the fire effect is the very different flash rates of the 3 LEDs, giving a realistically random effect. There is no circuit board needed for this kit. (Sold as a pack of 3 lights).

What size fire is best?
To make a campfire, trash fire, small brush fire, or other small fire,

we suggest the 3mm fire option, since the 3mm bulbs are easier to hide under scenery.
View this really great video very kindly sent to us by Bill from Los Angeles. Bill is using the 3mm size DC fire very effectively in his Slot Car Layout.
Consider using the 3mm AC/DCC option for a great addition to the Firebox in your steam locomotives.

For dollhouse scale fireplace fires, we like to use the 5mm Fire Kit,

Check out this video to see how the bulbs give a great warm glow to the whole fireplace!
For structure fires, where a whole floor or more of the building is engulfed in flames, we use 2 or even 3 packs of the 5mm Fires to get things really looking lively! Also, line the inside of your building (where is cannot be seen) with Aluminum Foil to "throw the light around".

As with all other Evan Designs LEDs, these LED lights are fully assembled with the necessary components for 6-12 Volt DC operation or for 7-19 Volt AC/DCC/DC operation.
How do you hook up these lights?
Battery Strap
If you want to use these lights with a single 9 Volt battery, we can include a battery strap (and instructions of course) for only .50 more.
(battery not included)
In our tests, a single 9V Duracell battery easily ran these lights for about 40 hours.
For a more permanent hook-up, you can run these lights with a 12V DC wall adapter Or connect these light to your existing doll house wiring.
For Model Railroaders, you can use an existing power source such as a DC train accessory outlet, or your AC track power, or DCC track Power.
